At times, because of earlier unsatisfactory transplantations, later transplant are used to improve the results. Micro- and mini-grafts are prepared from hair on the back and sides of the head and re-plants scalp areas as described above. The graft then establishes itself in the new scalp area and resumes normal growth by eight to 10 months after surgery.
